I discovered my joy for writing as a result of being a mother, no doubt! All the great children's books we read over the years, the comical things that kids come up with and the challenges they are facing all contributed to my story ideas. Having returned to London I took on a job here and there from childcare and running a local baking business to doing proof-reading for a newspaper and running a holiday let in Lincolnshire, but my main work was and still is raising my two beautiful girls (and looking after the newest family addition, our dog Nala).
