I discovered my joy for writing as a result of being a mother, no doubt! All the great children's books we read over the years, the comical things that kids come up with and the challenges they are facing all contributed to my story ideas. Publishing wasn't my intention initially (I'd only written for my own kids), but after sharing my stories...

...with friends and seeing how entertained their children were, I felt encouraged to write professionally. Before doing that I worked in various other areas. I grew up in Germany where I completed an apprenticeship at a Marriott Hotel. After graduating I moved to London and, quite unrelatedly,  did a foundation course in Performing...

...Arts, which I enjoyed so much that I went on to study Music at Roehampton University. Back to hospitality I then specialised in event management, which I loved, however with the evolving boom of independant barista coffee places I got hooked and wanted to open one myself. I moved back to Hamburg and established an artisan bakery and café, which I... 

...sold on four years later to take maternity leave. Having returned to London I took on a job here and there from childcare and  running a local baking business to doing proof-reading for a newspaper and running a holiday let in Lincolnshire, but my main work was and still is raising my two beautiful girls (and looking after the newest family addition, our dog Nala).

My books are positive, humorous and feature an underlying message of moral values, such as honesty, inclusivity, integrity, kindness and the acceptance of ourselves and others as imperfect human beings. I hope to convey the sense that everyone is valuable and plays an important role, as indeed we all...

...contribute in our own way and it is the collectiveness of personalities, talents and interests that makes the world go round. Through my books I wish to encourage children to understand they are valuable, unconditionally, and to live their talents and follow their dreams, whilst always... 

...staying kind and down-to-earth, no matter where life takes them. If they have a solid sense of self-worth and understand and respect that others are just as worthy despite being potentially different, they have the stepping stones to florish socially and mentally and that in return helps others to florish too.
